Space Missions: What lies beneath?

Isnt it ridiculous that majority of population is living below the normal standard and so called "Governments" are spending huge funds on the useless space missions?
Being part of the third world, and from the developing country, I don't see any good for mankind in these missions.
Vast population of the world is dying in wars, lacking proper treatment, hunger and we are thinking about the space missions.
Neil Armstrong didn't find 'Tresure' on the moon, even there are no evidences of 'Hydrocarbons'
there. Scientists are keen to discover some aliens out in the DARK, but what about the people living in the dark where no electricity is available?
The amount which is spent on such ridiculous missions, if spent on the research to find a better and cheaper cure of AIDS, would thus make Earth-livings happy and aliens as well.
Aids abolishment mission, Polio mission, Green mission, Clean planet mission, Anti Global warming mission, would really make some sense, and these would make good 'IMPRESSION' on the soil of EARTH indeed!
I wish some alien astronaut could happen to be here to make its last and permanent 'IMRESSION'!
